Te amu

Herne Hill, South London

A quiet and lonely back street and a little-noticed hole in a fence. But Te amu hides a labyrinth of pipes, shafts and ducts leading directly from the barracks of the devil's soldiers at the lower edge of the earth's upper crust. These nasty little demons with their rat-like bodies and leathery skin can assemble here at the crack of a whip. Te amu is dripping with radio waves which makes it impossible for local residents to receive certain terrestrial TV channels and has led to calls for a brand new transmitter to replace the old one on St Barnaby Hill nearby. Can also be used as a fast route to the infamous Slipknot in Cardiff.
